I'm Back - But First, The Sephora Sale

Don't fear the ShopMy Links

Hi hello & welcome back to me! We have so much to catch up on. But first, like every other person alive, I’m here to share my own Sephora picks. As I read the other day, the marketing machine of The Sephora sale should be studied at length. Why does everyone go berserk for this sale? Why does it inspire so much content? I am clearly no better as I write this newsletter, but alas - as a somewhat newly engaged woman, I am now much more motivated by skincare and have been experimenting much more. I also spent a lot of time googling the age of Dodgers pitchers Saturday night and telling Cam that many of them needed sunscreen and a good moisturizer, so I’m taking my own advice and sharing my faves in hopes of padding my microneedling fund.

BUT, as I’m sure you’ve read, the Sephora sale starts today for Insider members! Rouge gets 20% off everything. VIB (15% off) and Insider (10% off). I am using this opportunity to stock up on a few things I have emptied AND use, as I am also trying to do #projectpan with all of my skincare and makeup.

My Recommendations:

  1. The Makeup Eraser: I love this after a long night or when traveling to get my makeup off quickly and easily. I just gave the mini version to my friends as one of my “favorite things”

  2. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Makeup Remover: I’ve used this since high school. It’s gentle enough to use every day but also leaves your skin feeling so soft and fresh

  3. THE INKEY LIST Oat Cleansing Balm: This is newer to me (a friend’s “favorite thing” from my Palm Beach trip in July), but I love how soft and hydrating this is - it’s perfect for post-shower cleansing

  4. CROWN AFFAIR The Towel: I got this for Christmas two years ago and regret to inform everyone that it is very much worth the money. It dries my hair so quickly and the towel does stay in place quite well

  5. CROWN AFFAIR The Comb No. 002: Again, another Crown Affair item that is worth the money. I feel bougie AF using this after washing my hair

  6. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) 5-in-1 Styling Treatment: I rotate between this and It’s A 10 Leave In and this does a great job of smoothing and prepping without leaving any residue

  7. SUMMER FRIDAYS Lip Butter Balm: Another friend’s “favorite thing” (thanks, Ashley!) that I haven’t put down yet and have kept in my bag the past two weeks as the seasons change

  8. Glossier You Eau De Parfum: Where do I begin with my love affair with this perfume? I ALWAYS get compliments while wearing this - including one night in NYC where I was stopped 3 separate times - and it is truly the perfect mix of smoky, sweet, and earthy

  9. SUPERGOOP! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 50: The daily sunscreen, always and forever. I keep one in my car and one at home just in case I forget to apply before riding or walking outside

  10. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 - Moisturizing Serum: I use this once a week right now while I ramp up my tretonin usage and I remain a huge fan of how great The Ordinary products are while remaining affordable

That’s all I’ve got for today! More to come as I get back into the swing of this. xx - HRL
